Salon History
David William was established in November 2006. Salon owner and director Will invested heavily in refurbishing what was previously a clothes shop into a hair salon with unique character and unrivalled views.

Will has been a stylist for 10 years in a number of salons throughout Cambridgeshire, attending numerous courses and training days in his career to-date to continually advance his knowledge and skills. He has built up a strong, loyal customer base in the process and working for and in other salons has allowed Will to learn first-hand what works and to consider customer experiences that can be improved. He has taken everything he has learned to-date and used this to create his own unique salon experience at David William, St Ives.

So why did Will decide to create his own business and open David William? Quite simply he wanted to offer something new, something exciting and something different to other local salons – all at an affordable price and in the most relaxing and scenic location in St Ives.

We arrive at work every day with just one simple aim – to offer our clients something more from their salon. To us customer service and customer care is paramount. From the second you step in the door, to the moment you leave, we endeavor to make you feel as relaxed and special as we can.

As a friendly, welcoming salon in a small community we cannot put a high enough value on our reputation and the word-of-mouth we aim to generate. As a result we put you, the customer first and never forget that without you we do not have a business.

At David William Hair our priority is for your hair experience to be a relaxing one. This starts with a warm and friendly welcome, which is followed by some time at our Shiatsu massage basins, designed to help ease and sooth the stresses and strains of modern life whilst we prepare your hair for its treatment. As we move you to your ergonomically designed chair, you can relax and watch the world go by with the beautiful views of the river Great Ouse and the famous St Ives Bridge whilst our talented team create your unique style, colour or look.

Clients and Staff
Since opening, David William, St Ives has built up a loyal client base of male and female clients by offering a range of treatments and services from wet cuts, hair extensions, wedding styling, colouring, style consultations and more.

The range of products and treatments we offer, coupled with the unique experience we provide has secured significant success for David William. As a result, the original team of 4 stylists has grown to 6 and specialist stylists have been added to the staff list.
